Description
You will be spoilt for choice with things to do during your stay at Roseville. Ideal for couples or young families, the area has so much to offer and your four-legged friends will enjoy it too!
The cottage itself, set in the middle of a small terrace, has a bright fresh feel throughout, combining modern with many original features. The living room is comfortable and during colder evenings, the wood burner will soon warm you up. The dining area is open plan with the kitchen, a very sociable space whether you’re cooking or enjoying a glass of something. The door to the rear opens out to an enclosed garden, so your children and dogs can come and go as they please.
Located on the main road just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre of Gosforth, a popular area of the Western Lake District, you will find it hard to fit everything in. From local pubs offering real ale, home cooked food and good conversation, to local restaurants, which are advisable to book in advance. Make sure you call into the local bakery and grocery shop next door for those rucksack goodies to keep you going during a day of exploring.
Nearby, Seascale has a vast open sandy beach, perfect for whiling away the afternoon. Only a short drive away is Wasdale, with England’s deepest lake, Wast Water, and also a popular place to tackle Scafell Pike. Families can enjoy endless fun at Muncaster Castle and a ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, locally known as the ’La’al Ratty’. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
