Skylark Lodge on Wallace Lane Farm is the newest addition at the farm and is a delightful detached, lodge with enclosed decking and private hot tub offering beautiful views of the Cumbrian fells and the Scottish hills in the distance. Situated on a hill at the top of the farm, Skylark Lodge is warm and comfortable whatever the weather. Enjoy the views from the comfort of your living area in the winter or sit outside on the decking when the weather is fine. Whatever the weather though relax and unwind in your very own private hot tub!
Wallace Lane Farm is set in stunning countryside on the northern fringes of the Lake District National Park with views towards the Solway Coast. Set in 23 acres of land (with Woodpecker Cottage, Nuthatch Cottage, Treehouse Cabin, Kestrel Cabin, Farmhouse Cottage, Safari Tent and Barn Owl Bothy), which guests can enjoy, with a vast array of wildlife, and the panoramic views to the sea and the Scottish hills beyond. If you can tear yourself away it is well placed to walk the tranquil northern fells or to visit the unspoilt Cumbrian coast, Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall. The beautiful Cumbrian village of Caldbeck with a pub, tea rooms and shop is a short drive away. Beach 16¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

The renowned Mae's Tea Room and Gallery in Uldale is open throughout the year, serving tasty home cooked food through the day and some evenings and exhibits paintings by local artists. 

Enjoy a tipple and some lovely pub grub at Emily's Black Lion - a traditional, family friendly village pub nestling on the Northern fringe of the Lake District in the lovely village of Ireby.

Named after the `cold beck' which runs through the village, Caldbeck was once an important centre for lead mining and corn and woollen milling. The old mines have long since blended back into the dramatic landscape and the mills are now craft workshops and a locally well known restaurant called `Priests Mill'. At the centre of the village is St. Ketingern's church dating back to 1112.

Just down the road is Hesket Newmarket, a pretty village set around a wide green with a canopied market cross. Hesket is also known for its tiny brewery which supplies several local inns within the area.
