Local amenities are close by. A two minute walk brings the holiday maker to Main Street with extended opening of the Co-op for those first night arrival provisions. During working hours the award winning butchers and bakers give access to fresh local produce. Booths supermarket, Lakeland Plastics with its famous tea room, Tourist Information, Mountain Goat Tours and the train station are five minutes from the property. Taking into account that these properties are ideally placed for the ecologically minded holiday makers to leave the car at home, the owners have thoughtfully provided shopping carts on wheels in both cottages.
There is a choice of restaurant within a three minute radius including French (Michelin Guide), Spanish, Chinese, Greek, Wine Bar, Gastro pub, Lakeland and Café style. This makes self catering a choice not a chore.
The Public Library, with internet services, and bus services are two minutes away giving easy access to Lakeland outings leaving the car and parking challenges behind.
