Taking its name from the delightful outlook across an open meadow and to the fells beyond, Meadow Cottage in Staveley is an ideal base for those who prefer to be on the fringes of the busier resorts, yet only minutes away by car. The village has a host of excellent pubs and interesting outlets from cycle shops to woodturning and is at the foot of the Kentmere Valley which is rich in wildlife. Kingfishers can be seen above the weir at the edge of the village in pursuit of salmon leaping on their journey up river and head of the valley has been a nesting area of the golden eagle in past years. All this within 15 minutes of the M6!Meadow Cottage is delightful. Much thought has been taken to create a real ’home from home’ for guests with carefully chosen pieces of traditional furnishings cleverly married with subtle decor and interesting accessories. Quality is very much the theme here in Meadow Cottage making it an ideal venue for that special, romantic break.
Meadow Cottage has gas fired central heating and briefly comprises:
Lounge/dining: With quality wood flooring, open fire (logs available locally) flat screen Sky Freesat TV and DVD player.
Kitchen: With electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge with small freezer box, dishwasher and microwave.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, handbasin, WC and heated towel rail.
Bedroom: To the front of the cottage and has a cast iron double bed, pine furnishings and pretty co-ordinating decor.
Dressing room: Useful for storing your cases etc.
All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Sorry no cot.
The cottage now has Wi-Fi broadband installed which you are welcome to access during your stay, however should there be any problems where you cannot connect neither the owner or Cumbrian Cottages can be held responsible.
