A detached period style property, dating back to the 17th Century, Cooks House is a most charming building both inside and out with numerous eye catching original features to include exposed stone walls and original oak beams. The house sits below the parking area and the walk down the narrow steps conjures up childhood memories of The Secret Garden and Hansel and Gretel as you wonder along through the pretty flower beds and mature trees and gaze upon the hidden cottage.
Inside the theme is very much based on quality. The owners have used John Lewis and Laura Ashley to furnish their home and have created and eclectic mix of traditional cottage style with a little European and contemporary influence. The results are splendid and ensure that holiday memories at Cook’s House will remain with our guests for many years to come.

Superb garden areas with mature trees and shrubs with furniture provided. There are stone steps leading down through the garden down to the cottage please take care! Parking area above the property for up to four cars. Please note: Cook’s House sits at the junction of a small roundabout on Patterdale Rd and, although the cottage has secondary double glazing, guests should expect some traffic noise to be heard whilst in the grounds.
