Just a 15-minute drive from the cottage you will find yourself in Ingleton, famous for waterfalls, caving and climbing - you will not be short of outdoor activities. Chimney Pot View is also a perfect base for those planning to hike the Three Peaks Challenge. 20 minutes north and you are in the southern lakes, offering attractions such as South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall Gardens - this is all before you reach Lake Windermere. The historic city of Lancaster is 25 minutes away, as is the seaside town of Morecambe. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
