Great Asby Scar
Great Asby Scar is a National Nature Reserve situated to the south of Appleby by the village of Great Asby. For anyone interested in rock formations, it is a good example of a limestone pavement leaving the rough open land with upwards rock blocks caused by the erosion of the limestone.
