Rhubarb Cottage sits in a most enviable position in the small village of Chapel Stile in the very heart of the Langdale Valley. The cottage is just round the corner from the church and enjoys a 180 degree view of the surrounding fell range from most windows. Chapel Stile has a good village shop with cafe and of course, the church, the hub of the community here. Chapel Stile is the perfect starting point for some wonderful walking, cycling and climbing and is close to the more popular and busier resort of Ambleside, just 4 miles away.
Rhubarb Cottage is very traditional, perfect for the smaller party looking for a comfortable base in the Langdale Valley. The wood burning stove, set in slate mined from the quarry that can be seen on the hillside beyond, is certainly the focal point of the lounge, that’s if you can tear yourself away from the window seat and that stunning view! Parking at Rhubarb Cottage is on the roadside towards the church although you can pull up outside the cottage to unload.
