Well Cottage is an attractive Lakeland property, built in the 1750’s with low beams and slate floors. Enter through the useful porch area into the lounge where you will discover a cosy and homely atmosphere with exposed stonework and two seating areas centred around a multi-fuel stove. The kitchen provides contemporary appliances, plenty of storage and a stable door which leads to the garden. The raised terrace area has been built to make the most of the breathtaking views across the open countryside.
The cottage sits in the quiet village of Lindale, six miles from Lake Windermere. This is a traditional farming village on the Cartmel Peninsula with a welcoming pub. The coastal town of Grange-over-Sands is easily reached where you can walk along its quiet promenade, browse local shops and cafés or spot wildlife whilst relaxing in the ornamental gardens. Grizedale Forest is within easy driving distance with a visitor centre, concert theatre and cycle trail. The quaint village of Cartmel is 4 miles away, Kendal, 12 miles, and other nearby attractions include the Lakeland Motor Museum, Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall and the steam railway at Haverthwaite, which makes this suitable for all year round holidays.
