This terraced house, built in 1850 has been beautifully renovated whilst still retaining its original features making it a comfortable, cosy property offering couples and families an excellent, central base from which to enjoy Bowness and the surrounding areas. Guests are truly in the perfect location for all amenities and are just a 30 second walk away from the nearest café/bar.
Bowness never fails to offer something for everyone. The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. Independent retailers, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and bars are all sitting a stroll away from the fabulous lake. Visitors can enjoy a steamer ride across its waters to Ambleside or perhaps enjoy a picnic on the shore whilst watching the world go by. There are walks in abundance right from your doorstep, and whether it be a steady stroll or a hardy ramble, the scenery won’t disappoint. Bowness caters for all ages with plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition, Steamboat Museum, cinema, as well as a crazy golf/pitch and putt course, cycle hire and a sailing marina.
A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead.

About the local area

Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.

The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.

There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole `pitch and put' and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.
