Delightfully presented and well equipped with modern day conveniences including an i-Pod dock and unlimited Wi-Fi access, Riversedge provides a very comfortable base for two couples, a family and your pet with that all important local pub just round the corner, The Talbot Bar and a further three good pubs within walking distance. The wood burning stove is a welcoming site after a day out walking or sightseeing whilst the two bedrooms, one with en-suite shower ensure a restful sleep to leave you revived and fresh for the next day’s adventure. The cottage garden to the front of the property is a delightful spot to sit and take in the sights and sounds of the river when our typical Lakeland weather will allow and if it’s a little too wet, a hot chocolate and homemade cake from Chesters, just 100 yards away will certainly warm you up.

Rydal Water

Linked to Lake Grasmere by the River Rothay, Rydal Water is one of the smallest lakes in Cumbria measuring 3/4 mile long and 1/4 mile wide. Up the hill overlooking the lake, you can find RydaL Caves in the hill rock, they are surprisingly large and over 200 years ago they were used as a quarry supplying stone to the local villages.
