As much as we love the Great British weather, there are times on holiday (yes, even in August!) when the weather isn’t quite what we would expect it to be.

However, at Cumbrian Cottages, we share the belief that there is no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate clothing! Conditions in the Lake District can be quick to change, and you can occasionally experience four seasons in one day!

So be sure to pack your waterproofs and umbrella, and embrace the weather by taking a look at our top ideas for rainy days.
