Description
Sedbergh is a super location from where to base your holiday, being on the doorstep of both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park. This small market town is quaint and interesting. It not only offers a good range of shops, pubs and eating places but has galleries and craft shops. The recently opened Farfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre, with living history displays and working looms is a particularly interesting place to visit. Under Rigg is in Millthrop, a pretty hamlet in a peaceful setting just 10 minutes walk from the town centre of Sedbergh. The cottage has parking for two cars but there is also an excellent local bus service to places like Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal. There are endless walks, with stunning views, and the possibility of mountain biking, direct from the cottage. Furnished as a comfortable and well-equipped home, Under Rigg has flexible accommodation with the advantage of two lounge rooms giving greater flexibility for your party. The enclosed gardens to the front and rear are delightful and the property enjoys lovely views from most rooms out over the local countryside and towards the Howgill and Frostrow Fells.

Ground Floor

Under Rigg has gas-fired central heating and briefly comprises: Entrance hall with useful hanging space for walking clobber, leading to:

Dining/kitchen: Spacious dining/kitchen with electric cooker with double oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/drier and microwave. Door from this room to the front garden which is enclosed by a stonewall and has fine open views.

Sitting room: With colour TV, DVD and comfortable double sofa bed, which offers the possibility of an extra bedroom (Bed linen provided.) This room also has French doors leading to the rear enclosed garden where there is also a garden shed (good for bikes).

Bathroom: With shower over bath, hand basin and WC.

Cloakroom: With hand basin and WC.

First Floor

Lounge: Main lounge with ample seating, this room enjoys lovely views over the open countryside to front and rear.

Bedroom 1: Double bedroom.

Bedroom 2: Single bedroom.

Facilities
All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided. Sorry, no cot available as we do not consider this house suitable for children under 5 years of age.
Miscellaneous

Parking for 2 cars. Garden shed available for storage of  bikes etc.

This property will accept short breaks all year round, irrespective of when they are booked except for Christmas and New Year, as long as they don't cross over a 2 week period.
