A delightful 1 bedroomed barn conversion which was refurbished in 2011 and is ideal for couples seeking a peaceful retreat. Set in an idyllic rural location on the flanks of Little Mell Fell, with uninterrupted views over open countryside towards Striding Edge, Green Barn is a bird watchers paradise with an abundance of bird life around the tarn to the front of the property. The barn is situated within close proximity to Ullswater, the more tranquil Caldbeck fells lie just to the north and some 12 miles to the west is the bustling town of Keswick

Bathroom: With shower over bath, WC and hand basin.

About the local area
Ullswater is the Lake District’s second largest lake at nine miles long. Located in the eastern side of Cumbria, it bends and twists its way through dramatic mountain scenery on one side and a gently curving shoreline of green fields and woodland on the other.
Boating centres and marinas nestle unobtrusively on the lake edge, perfect for the water sports enthusiasts, or visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery from one of the steamers that have sailed the lake since 1855.
Many of the Lake District’s many walks have their starting point from around Ullswater, including the renowned trek to Helvellyn’s summit via Striding Edge. Or for the less energetic there are many low-level walks through beautiful countryside.
Of note is Glenridding which sits on the south western shore and is surrounded by the fells with wonderful scenic views. Pooley Bridge on the northern shore, with its 16th Century Bridge, Lakeland greystone houses and quaint teashops and Patterdale just to the south of Ullswater, cradled by mountains.
