This route takes in the southern fringes of the Lake District from Staveley right through to Windermere. It combines a great traffic free part of the National Cycle Network (Route 6) and small quiet lanes which wind between rocky knolls and small valleys. Spectacular views of the Lakeland fells to the north and the Howgills to the south east make this a ride to remember. The tourist board have a leaflet featuring this route so make sure you pick it up from a local tourist centre in the area
