Many flock to Cumbria for its huge expanse of mountains, fells and lakes but the Lake District also offers keen golfers some fantastic quality golf courses set amongst magnificent surroundings.

Take Keswick Golf Club as an example, with its Lakeland views and superb facilities the course is sited in the valley between the mountain masses of Blencathra to the North and Clough Head in the south and is a challenging 18 hole course. 

Maryport Golf course offers something different. Situated on the Solway Coast it enjoys fabulous views across the Solway Firth with panoramic views of the Scottish coastline.

And of course the championship course at Silloth must be high on any golfers’ agenda. This course is a R&A qualifying course for the Open.
