Just off the A6, north of Kendal, lies the tiny hamlet of Garnett Bridge, near the neighbouring hamlets of Selside, Watchgate, Garth Row and Strickland Roger. Set in a beautiful area of open countryside, Garnett Bridge offers Lake District visitors a true escape from the hustle and bustle of cities, towns and villages, allowing the true serenity of the Lake District to be enjoyed in its purest form.
Lake Windermere can be found just a short drive or comfortable walk to the west of Garnett Bridge, while nearer still is the village of Burneside and facilities such as the Jolly Anglers pub, while the Eagle & Child Inn at Stavely is another favourite watering hole for walkers from Garnett Bridge.
