Its wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating makes it the perfect central point for you and your guests to relax and enjoy your stay. The house is spacious with large, bright and airy rooms, two main living rooms, a dining area and a table tennis table to keep your family entertained during their stay. Wake up in the beautiful four-poster bed overlooking this Lakeland panorama, enjoy a coffee on the terrace and look out for local visiting wildlife; then take a short stroll into Grasmere and try the many excellent restaurants, tea rooms and bars that are available in the village.

Furthermore the most well-known ‘Central Fells’ are just a short drive away. Traditional events such as the rushbearing ceremony and Grasmere Sports and Show still take place during the summer months. Followers of Wordsworth can pay a visit to the churchyard at St Oswald’s, where beneath the yews, the poet and his family graves can be found. A visit to Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount are also a must. About the local area

Grasmere is a charming village in the heart of the Lake District National Park, situated in a valley surrounded by the lush green slopes of the Lakeland hills. Lovely old cottages and houses built of the local blue-green slate sit along side the art galleries and shops that line the twisty streets of the village.

Once home to the famous poet William Wordsworth visitors can see his two former homes - Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount and Gardens. At the centre of the village is St. Oswald's Church which contains the Wordsworth family graves.

A short distance to the west is the village of Chapel Stile at the entrance to the spectacular Langdale Valley with superb scenery all around. Langdale offers a variety of fell and low level walks making it a good base for walkers of all abilities.
