The collection of picturesque hamlets that make up the peaceful parish of Lowick can be found at the southern end of Coniston Water. The nine-mile trail works its way past Kelly Hall Tarn, which offers a striking vantage point of the fell known as the Old Man of Coniston that looms large on the horizon in the distance.
