We really liked the cottage, which was perfect for us being two grandparents with our 6 year old grandson. He thought the cottage was ' awesome'. Only drawback was that my tall husband hit his head several times on a low beam.

We were very impressed with the high standards of decor and furnishing throughout the property, especially the new kitchen and bathroom. A lovely combination of functionality and comfort. The place felt very welcoming and cared-for, and the garden was charming. But it was probably the little touches that impressed me most - a full set of Wainwright books, annotated by their owner; some local OS maps; enough toilet rolls to last the week; a supply of dishwasher tablets, cleaning stuff, bin bags, sandwich bags and other such insignificant yet useful items; bits and pieces of food and basics like seasoning and cooking oil etc. I think I was more impressed with Broomhill Cottage and the thought that had gone into making it a pleasant holiday home than I have been with any other cottage I've stayed in in the UK, and I've stayed in a lot. Do please pass my thanks on to the owner (or whoever supplies all the little touches)..

The owner has to be complimented as the cottage has everything and then some, and that kitchen absolutely brilliant, we wanted for nothing. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay we were over the moon with the everything and we will be back in the near future.
