Lindale is a delightful village in the south Lakes, only 2 miles from Grange Over Sands which can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 40 minutes walk for those more energetic of you. Grange was a popular resort of the Victorians and still today retains an historic feel with the lovely promenade fringed by delightful tea rooms and craft shops. Lindale is well placed for exploring all of the Lakes and Furness Peninsula, Windermere Lake being only only 15 minutes drive. The village itself has a local store, well supported village hall and two pubs offering real ale and excellent food.
This pretty, white washed cottage fronted by a traditional lawned garden fringed by colourful borders, sheltering the house from the roadside. Broomhill Cottage really is a property of two halves; the lounge and bedrooms being presented in a traditional cottage style whilst the recently created kitchen and dining area brings a modern twist to what is essentially an 18th century building.

Offering stunning views of the South Lakeland District fells and countryside, Cartmel is easily accessible, with its winding streets, pretty cottages, whitewashed houses and medieval buildings leading to the village square. The village offers visitors many modern surprises in the form of fine quality attractions, shops, and eateries.
Around the village square you will discover a delightful assortment of genuine 16th - 18th century buildings providing, as they have for centuries, friendly inns, well stocked shops and private dwellings. It is also home to Britain’s smallest National Hunt racecourse and the National Trust attraction of Cartmel Priory Gatehouse, a historically important building situated in the heart of the village.
Occupying one of the most attractive spots in the area, Grange-over-Sands looks out across the expansive sands of Morecambe Bay, a rich feeding ground for many species of birds that take advantage of the great climate in the area. It is easily accessible from the Lake District (Lake Windermere is only seven miles away) and towns such as Kendal are also just a short drive from here.
There is much to do and see on the Peninsular from golf , horse riding and fishing to hot air ballooning and parachuting! There also a good number of great walks, plus many places of historical interest.

We really liked the cottage, which was perfect for us being two grandparents with our 6 year old grandson. He thought the cottage was ' awesome'. Only drawback was that my tall husband hit his head several times on a low beam.
Excellent. Very clean, well equipped, warm and cosy
We have been renting cottages for many years and I can honestly say this is by far the best equipped we have ever found, both in terms of the quantity and quality of equipment and furnishing. A great place to stay.
