This cosy love nest for two is perfectly placed for making the very most of your valuable time together in the Lakes. The Round Window, is set in quiet and attractive surroundings yet within less than a minutes’ walk from all that bustling Bowness has to offer.
Created in the roof space of former stables, The Round Window retains many quirky features that make this an ideal choice for couples wanting a romantic break.
Access to the apartment is by a metal spiral staircase, all adding to the character and charm. Internally, it is delightfully presented in a neutral, contemporary theme. With chandeliers and wine glasses at the ready - The Round Window facilities will make you feel at home in  no time.
The apartment is ideal for self catering although we suspect that with such a wealth of attractions, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, you’ll be far to busy enjoying yourselves to bother cooking!
Lake Windermere with her steamers and rowing boats for the more energetic amongst you is a short stroll away. Superb international cuisine restaurants and individual, boutique shops are on your doorstep too.
The Round Window really is set in the perfect location from which to explore cosmopolitan Lakeland.

About the local area

Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.

The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.

There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole `pitch and put' and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.
