Three words sum up Lakeshore Boathouse - location, location, location! We are thrilled to be able to offer our holidaymakers the opportunity to enjoy a property whose conservatory over hangs Lake Windermere. This superb, semi detached boathouse sits literally in the water! With its own private jetty and small secluded beach area, Lakeshore Boathouse is a perfect romantic retreat to enjoy precious time with your loved one against the most glorious backdrop you are ever likely to find. Alternatively as it boasts in addition a twin bedded room, it is an opportunity for an enjoyable family holiday or break. Comfortably furnished with quality kitchen  and shower rooms and an enormous master bedroom with en suite, the boathouse has been cleverly designed to take advantage of the setting. The full width folding doors in the conservatory open up to the vista of the lake and the glorious mountain views beyond. Nearby Bowness two miles, is a thriving tourist hot spot, teeming with bars and restaurants, interesting shops and galleries. Motor and rowing boats can also be hired at Bowness Bay and can be moored at the boathouse for the duration of your stay. Visitors may wish to bring their own boats and can be moored on the wonderful jetty that the property offers. You could even fish from the jetty!
The property may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties as there are a number of steps leading down to the boathouse from the car park area.

About the local area

Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.

The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.

There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole `pitch and put' and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.
