Honeysuckle Cottage, oozing with character and charm, nestles peacefully in a quiet backwater of Bowness village, with a gentle stroll of a few minutes taking you to the many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as to the shores of Windermere itself with its attractions. For the more energetic it is also minutes away from some superb walks including the famous Dales Way. The cottage itself is ideal for a stay at any time of the year, in winter it is cosy and welcoming with stripped pine throughout and feature fireplaces. In the summer the beautiful terraced garden is ideal for some outdoor living.

The cottage is gas centrally heated and comprises:
Lounge: Cosy lounge looking onto terraced garden, TV, DVD Player and electric coal effect fire.
Dining room: With feature fireplace, stable-door leading to small yard area.
Kitchen: With oak units, equipped with double electric oven/gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Outhouse: With washer/dryer.

Bedroom 1: Twin bedroom.
Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with pine furniture and feature fireplace.

About the local area

Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the most popular locations in the Lake District. Situated midway down Lake Windermere, a long promenade skirts the lake with views over a busy harbour where pleasure cruisers arrive and depart taking visitors up and down the lake.

The town has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, especially in the summer months and a superb lakeside setting with lovely views across and down the lake. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside.

There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole `pitch and put' and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach.

Overlooking the village of Coniston is the beautiful fell known as the `Old Man of Coniston'. A part of the Furness Fells, this summit is over 800 metres high and is interesting to the eye with evidence mining that was done here years ago.
