Herald Cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone cottage in a residential courtyard setting in the very centre of Ambleside. It has a fantastic location both for those people wishing to relax and enjoy the amenities of Ambleside and for those who wish to get out onto the hills. The cottage has been refurbished with the outdoor enthusiast in mind. It now has a large drying room in case you get caught out in a shower, a spacious sauna to help you warm up after a cold day on the fells and an open fire to relax in front of whilst planning your next day’s activities.
The cottage retains its original homely feel but has been enhanced recently with a central heating system and oven, modern lighting, a digital television and stereo with an iPod dock. There are plenty of books, DVD’s and games as well as a small library devoted to climbing and biking.
Herald Cottage can be booked in conjunction with Church Cottage (Ref CC123241) next door.

There is room for a second car to be parked in front of the property in the yard. The yard itself is in a quiet location surrounded by local residents and the property is therefore not suitable for partying late into the night.
